LMU Will Not Offer Discounts for Fall 2020 Tuition
By Raven Yamamoto

According to Senior Director of Public and Media Relations Erin Bossen, LMU will not be discounting fall tuition regardless of class format.

“LMU is not offering discounted tuition regardless of the modality of instruction,” Bossen said. “The university continues to provide its distinct Jesuit/Marymount education, services, programs and student support, which are all funded by tuition.”

This comes after the Office of the Registrar's announcement that fall classes will be modified to maintain social distancing, whether that means making them completely or partially online.

“The cost of providing these resources has not eased with the transition to remote or hybrid instruction,” Bossen said.

According to Bossen, LMU still has yet to receive its $4.7 million CARES Act payout, half of which was earmarked by the Department of Education for emergency student financial aid.

"LMU expects to receive CARES Act relief funds later this month and students will receive more information about distribution at that time."
